Goodguys Heartened the Heartland

The Hot Rodding drought has gloriously ended and it was all thanks to the hard working folks at Goodguy Rod & Custom. Working with the state and local government agencies, Goodguys was able to organize and successfully host the 29th Speedway Motors Heartland Nationals. We all could take a lesson from Goodguys about how to have a successful event in these difficult times. They went above and beyond to adhere to the various safety guidelines. They ran a successful show all while letting everyone do their own thing.

Goodguys proved it, if you host it they will come. And come they did, by the thousands.  The weekend was perfect 10’s all the way around.  The rides, the weather and all-around great time you can always count on at a Goodguys show with the added bonus of the Street Rod and Machine competition. Some of the greatest American iron rollin was out.  There was no shortage of quality rides.

The coolest Customs and Classics.

Muscle machines for miles.

Trick trucks at every turn.

From traditionally styled vintage iron to cutting edge tech, the Heartland Nationals had it all.

So yes Hot Rodders, there is a Santa Clause. He lives in Pleasanton, CA and moonlights at Goodguys Rod & Custom. He brought Christmas in July to Des Moines Iowa and a well need dose of  Hot Rodding happiness to the weary masses. Many thanks! Now our gift to you is our Event Coverage Gallery. We have hundreds upon hundreds of pics of the outstanding rides that were out for the Heartland Nationals.

Right now the big shows are few and far between but not to worry, head over to the Pony Girl Show Stopper Gallery. Take a virtual stroll through the good old days car shows.

If there is a show we will do our best to be there and bring you the goods. Put yourself on the Pony Girl Show Stopper list so you don’t miss a single ride.
