Truck as Art: Craig Dolen's '54 Chevy "Rustarado"
Move over Silverado, it's the Rustarado. This copper '54 Chevy is one unbelieveable show stopper. You have to trust me on this one, you ain't never seen anything like this before. Now there are art cars and then there is car or in this case truck as art. The Rustarado is Craig Dolan's four wheeled, rolling masterpeice. I first saw this pick 'em up at the PPG nationals a few years ago and it was unreal. This past summer though, at the Heartland Nats., I saw this beauty and it appears the '54 has undergone many artistic upgrades. Friends, Mr Dolan has pulled out all the stops with this incarnation of Rustarado.
Where do you start with a ride like this? The hand hammered copper front bumper, the leather wrapped and hand stitched fenders, the incredible scupltural details. Honestly, the "arm rest". Creative genius Mr. Dolan, just genius. Acording to his daughter-in-law Nicole, "it's loud and built to be that way." That statement sure covers all the bases with this ride, from the 383 Stroker that puts out about 440 hp to the "there a problem officer" plaque. This truck is one "loud", in your face, beautiful, one of a kind original. Rust Ruls and the Rustarado is a testiment to that.
Now check out this ride, this one is going to take you a while.
Til the next time - Keep on Kruzin!
