Tricked Out Trucks from the Southeastern Nats.
I am the driver of a "regular" passenger car who experiences truck evny on a regular basis. Any chance I get I beg, borrow or "steal" trucks and SUV's from family and friends. For me it's an attitude thing; I like being bigger, I like being higher and when I get the diesel I love being louder than most everyone else on the road.
That said, it seemed to me that the Southeastern Nats. had an abundance of custom, hot rod, and classic trucks. I'm not sure if it was just me rebelling against a tiny, underpowered rental or if the Southeast is just busting at the seams with wild workhorses, but the trucks were a pleanty at the Charlotte Motor Speedway and I just couldn't get enough.
Somehow I don't see many of these flawless rides heading to the local Home Depot but, I'm sure the owners like the idea that in a pinch they can haul in supreme style!
Here's some video I took of a few of the trucks that REALLY caught my eye! By the by, I believe that is real snakeskin adorning the Big "T"! You'll see no detail was spared to makes these pickups pristine.
Trucks on the AutoCross courses are always a highlight. Here are some of them tearing up the track.
I'm packing my bags again. This time I am going to "Go West Young (Wo)man!" Scottsdale is the destination and I'll be seeing what the Southwest has to offer at the GoodGuys Southwest Nationals!
Til the next time- Keep on Kruzin!
