Melting Down the Meltdown!
I wasn't fibbin' when I said there was a ton more to come from the AWESOME 2nd Annual Meltdown Drags. Frankly, I think I have saved the best for last. Yes, I love speed. Especially watching that vintage "Detroit Iron" ripping down the track but I've got to tell you what really gets my heart pumpin' is what happens before the Christmas tree reaches green. I am just a sucker for burnouts and tell me who isn't! One of the best parts of going to an event like the Meltdown Drags is that on the way home if you breathe deeply enough, you're right back at the track standing in a cloud of tire smoke with that smell of burnin' rubber in your nose. Even better than the smell - the sound. To me it is one of life's simple joys; a good burnout. And at the Meltdown Drags, it was one after another. Oh, but let me finish, the perfect compliment to a good burnout; a fantastic launch. Two tires, a wheelie bar and 450HP enough said. Watching a '55 Chevy reach for the sky is truly a thing of beauty!
Do you get the drift, I liked the show! Have a look for yourself. Can you hear it? Can you smell it?
But when it comes to burnouts and great launches, pictures just do them justice. So so turn up the volume!
What's next, can't say for sure. What I do know is, with a Summer like the one I've been having, it's gonna be great! Stay tuned and see what comes next.
'Til the next time - Keep on Kruzin!
