KKOA North Leadhead & Gearhead Stomp
I was Wisconsin bound this past weekend and hit the KKOA North event in Stevens Point. The Kustom Kemps of America, the be all end all when it comes to kustoms turned sleepy Stevens Point into a confection colored kustom paradise. Friends, you've gotta trust the word from the bird; the Leadhead & Gearhead Stomp was peachy, primo, first class and fantastic. It was Kustoms, Pin Ups and live music and it was a blast and a half.
The beautiful riverside setting was the perfect backdrop to showcase the cherry chariots that "stomped" into Stevens Point. Can you say 12 pretty Mercs all in a row (and a half). One of those hot hued Mercs was "The Phoenix" that belongs to friend of KruzinUSA Mr. Don Wallin. It debuted at the "stomp" in all it's final finished glory, what a beaut and quite the crowd pleaser. It was a swinging shin dig and I am here to spread the good word. The folks could not have been more friendly and I guess I'll say it again, I had a fab time. Here is just a sneak peak at the finery. Be sure to cast an eyeball at the Most Recent Show gallery to get all the goods from this show.
I dig new things, not only was this my first KKOA event I also experienced the time honored tradition of slow drags for the first time. A bit of an oxymoron for the uninitiated but after the first placid pass I was hooked. Just a fun way to get involved with a great event. Here you go, the slow drags from the KKOA North event, sit down, buckle up, hold on and enjoy. I wonder if they were going for pinks?
Heading to the Blacktop Barons Roadblock this weekend, stay tuned, that''s always a great time. Be sure to check out the KKOA website for info on this event and the upcoming Leadsled Spectacualr in Salina, there's still time to book a room so you too can rub elbows with the koolest of the kool! By the by this blog was brought to you by a proud KKOA member. Membership does have it's priveledges - I'm just saying.
Til the next time - Keep on Kruzin!
