Hot in the Heartland!

Hot in temperature yes but even hotter were the rides that literally packed the Iowa State Fairgrounds.  It was a gear head paradise, it was so great that I'm now in recovery mode.  Like I've said before I've gotta rent one of those dang scooters to get around!

Sunday is award day and I alway get exited to see "the chosen." (I still think the choosing is an unenviable task).  Too much good to narrow it down.  Here are a few of the winners.  By the way, I must humbly bring to your attention the Camaro on the left and the Merc on the right.  You might remember my video from Friday; I highlighted them both.  I'm just sayin'.

Cruising is a big part of the Heartland Nats.  Wait long enough and a good part of the show will pass you by.  Here are just a few minutes of the never ending parade of awesomness that was cruising the all weekend.

These guys and gals make it look easy.  You might recognize the last car as the 2010 Street Machine of the Year winner - the '67 Camaro "Scar"  Looks like owner Karen Leisinger is putting the pedal to the metal and is having some fun with her prize winner.

I have over 1,600 pictures from my weekend adventure and am going to be adding them all week to the "Most Recetn Show" gallery.  Stop on back and check out my progress.  I think the Heartland Nats. is going to be my largest gallery but, don't hold me to that.  Oh by the way, in 3 short days I'm heading east for the "Big One".  Yep, the GoodGuys PPG Nats. in Columbus.  Be sure to come back and check out the coverage.  If GoodGuys call it the "Big One" you know it's gonna be huge!

Til the next time - Keep on Kruzin!
