This Ain't Your Average Open House
He opend the doors to the house that Kustom built and they came in droves to worship at his altar of Kool! It was VooDoo Larry Kustoms annual Open House and it was the outer limits baby, koolsville to the 10th degree. We all know Larry is one Hep Kat but when you check out his digs you know this Dude is for real. He is staying true to the words he gave us over five years ago - "If you take care of your shop, your shop takes care of you." How true, how true maestro. There wasn't an inch of floorspace in his immaculate shop to spare. His current projects were bumper to bumper. It sure looks like his talents are in high demand. If his latest, the VooDoo Sahara, is any indication of the direction his skills are taking him, the sky is the limit for this Kat. I can't wait to see his next stratospheric idea come to life. Don't worry the aforementioned VooDoo Sahara is going to get plenty of specialized attention from yours truly in the very near future. It was an afternoon for us mere mortals to mingle with Kool Kids. Those in the know were fortunate enough to lay our peepers on an incredibly rare ride parked in and amongst all the other cars but more on that on later. Wink, wink. As you know I could wax poetic for pages about this joint and the fab event but I will restrain myself and let the pics do the jive talkin.
Now go indulge yourself in some of the Koolest of the Kool.
You can take in the rest of this Open House in the Most Recent Show Gallery. Head on over and guaranteed you'll get a hefty dose of Kool by osmosis!
Now take a gander at where the magic happens, here's a quick video tour of Voodoo Larry's digs.
Not only does Larry open his house to his "kongregation", he also entertains them. Cast an eyeball at the live entertainment from "Lil Red and the Holwin Wolves" man these Kats can swing!
Don't forget friends, every year the first Sunday in August is the day of days when you too can poke around the epicenter of kool, so mark your calendars you never know what you're gonna get at this show.
One of my favorite shows of the season is on the horizon, the Relix Riot at the Gilmore Car Museum. Honestly, that place is a bucket list stop for any gear head! Looking forward to my trip. Be sure to come back to check out my coverage.
Til the next time - Keep on Kruzin!
