FiTech isn’t your typical hot rod builder —they’re rewriting the rulebook. For the 2024 SEMA Show, they raised the stakes with a project that’s as bold as it is functional: a ’67 Chevy Nova wagon nicknamed Novacaine. More than just a showpiece, this wagon was designed to show how seamlessly FiTech integrates with today’s aftermarket industry — blending muscle car nostalgia with cutting-edge tech. This isn’t just another custom. It’s proof that FiTech’s systems don’t just fit into the aftermarket — they elevate it. Novacaine is a true example of what happens when top-tier vendors rally behind a shared vision. And at the center of it all, FiTech proves that modern fuel injection isn’t just about technology — it’s about bringing builders, brands, and enthusiasts together to carry the culture into the future. Guided by Jeremy Schmidt from FiTech, the build starts with a stout L&R engine topped with a FITECH INTAKE MANIFOLD and driven by FITECH’S SIGNATURE INJECTION SYSTEM. That heart is kept cool thanks to a CHAMPION COOLING RADIATOR, aided by a DERALE ELECTRIC FAN for steady airflow under any condition. Style meets protection with HOSE CANDY HOSE COVERS, while fuel delivery is handled by a TANKS INC. EFI-READY TANK designed for modern injection. To let the small-block breathe, HEDMAN HEDDERS deliver performance, flow, and that unmistakable hot rod soundtrack. All of it is channeled through a bulletproof HUGHES TRANSMISSION, putting power firmly to the pavement. Suspension and stance are handled by QA1 COILOVERS paired with JOHNNY JOINTS, giving Novacaine an aggressive yet compliant ride. Underneath, AMERICAN RACING WHEELS wrapped in FALKEN TIRES deliver both style and grip, while the WILWOOD BRAKES and MASTER CYLINDER combo guarantees confidence when it’s time to rein the wagon in. Every vendor part isn’t just installed — it’s showcased as proof of performance and compatibility. Inside, comfort and control were just as important as horsepower. TMI created a modern-comfort interior tailored to the wagon, while DAKOTA DIGITAL engineered a FiTech-compatible gauge package that keeps the vitals front and center. Sound is handled by DEI SOUND MAT and KICKER AUDIO, making Novacaine as refined as it is rowdy. Polished touches come courtesy of EDDIE MOTORSPORTS billet components — from pulley systems and hood hinges to steering wheels and handles — while FLAMING RIVER brought steering precision and LOKAR added crisp gear control with a signature shifter. On the exterior, Nostalgia Hot Rods laid down a flawless paint job that turns heads from every angle, while EVANS CNC MACHINING added precision-cut finishing details. Out back, UNITED PACIFIC TAILLIGHT LENSES shine bright with unmistakable clarity, and a cleverly concealed FULL THROTTLE BATTERY ensures Novacaine has the spark to keep Kruzin’. Each vendor’s contribution is more than just a part on a list — it’s an essential piece of a bigger story. Together, this build highlights the innovation, craftsmanship, and collaboration that keep hot rodding alive.
